[04/15/20]   Contrary to UK news reports Spain has not lifted it's lockdown .
We are not lifting our lockdown, some construction and industrial workers can return to work. Schools are still closed, universities are still closed, all bars, restaurants and hotels and all retail shops remain closed.

We are only allowed out of our homes to shop for food, medical appointments and pharmacies and go to work if allowed as specified by the Decree.
We are only allowed to purchase essential items.... ie food, drink
We are NOT allowed out to exercise.
Dog owners can briefly take their pets out within immediate vicinity of home (50 metres)
Our slightly eased lockdown is still way more strict than the UK one.
Fines for disobeying the lockdown START at €600.
We still have the Guardia and Army checking cars, shopping, receipts etc to ensure compliance
So, having just listened to the UK news stating that Spain has lifted the lockdown, leaves me wondering why I even bother listening! The media obviously know best! 😡

[04/15/20]   Today’s rant guys. Here we are week five I think and all I am hearing is about professional footballers and the wage they get.why don’t they give it up to help charities and so on at this time.About this amazing Captain Tom( fantastic man)raising 5 million pounds.about everybody doing what they can to help . This is ALL really wonderful stuff guys. My question today is HOW MUCH of their wages have the politicians donated from their own pockets to the cause. People are going BANKRUPT all over the place , and still stepping forward to help WHY NOT BORIS and his side kicks. Please correct me if I’m wrong.Anybody any opinion on this or “TRUMP”......be safe guys see you when it’s over if I survive. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

[04/02/20]   Fuel prices dropped a record amount.
Self-distancing measures on a rise.
Tape on the floors at food stores and others to help distance shoppers 2m (6ft) from each other.
Limited number of people inside stores, therefore lineups outside the store doors.
Non-essential stores and businesses mandated closed.
Parks, trails, entire cities locked up.
Entire sports seasons cancelled.
Concerts, tours, festivals, entertainment events - cancelled.
Weddings, family celebrations, holiday gatherings - cancelled.
Funerals limited to children/parents/spouses of deceased. No other family or friends.
No masses, churches are closed.
Schools are all closed.
No gatherings permitted.
Don't socialize with anyone outside of your home.
We are to distance from each other.
Shortage of masks, gowns, gloves for our front-line workers.
Shortage of respirators for the critically ill.
Panic buying sets in and we have no toilet paper, no disinfecting supplies, no paper towel no laundry soap, no hand sanitizer.
Shelves are bare.
Manufacturers, distilleries and other businesses switch their lines to help make visors, masks, hand sanitizer and PPE.
Government closes the border to all non essential travel and makes it mandatory to self isolate for 14 days when returning.
Fines are established for breaking the rules.
Fines for those price-gauging others.
Stadiums and recreation facilities open up for the overflow of Covid-19 patients.
Press conferences daily from the Prime Minister.
Barely anyone in the street or on the roads.
People wearing masks and gloves outside.
Essential service workers are terrified to go to work.
Medical workers are afraid to go home to their families.
Many people placed on furlough and unable to work with the government paying 80% of their wage.

They say it started in Wuhan, China at a seafood market. Hundreds of thousands affected, dead, dying, critically ill.
Many recovered.

This is the Novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) Pandemic, declared March 11th, 2020.

Why, you ask, do I write this status?

One day it will show up in my memory feed, and it will be a yearly reminder that life is precious. To not take the things we dearly love for granted.

We have so much!
Be thankful. Be grateful.
Be kind to each other - love one another - support everyone. ❤️

[03/25/20]   Here we are again guys day 10 I think in Tenerife where we have a proper lock down and everybody appears to be tucked away. Still the virus grows.this nightmare is not going away, while Boris pussy foots around. The only result he will achieve there is a need for more body bags. The people of Uk (a large number)seem to be oblivious to this danger.when I look at what is still going on there, my advice is be afraid and be prepared ,this is NOT going away anytime soon.look at the trains still this morning. There are some brain dead people out there.please please please guys be safe , take care and hopefully we will all meet again.

[03/22/20]   Well guys , we head into week two and no end in sight. The government has extended the lock dow for two more weeks at least.
