Why did Ms. Pelosi and the Democrats, after wanting to impeach Trump, support his increased war and arms budget? Certainly, we need to dump Trump. But what will we get from the Democrats? Sure looks like a return to the pre-Trump statis quo that -- duh! -- brought us Trump.
Alameda City Council is meeting on TUESDAY NOV 19TH 2019 at 7PM at CITY HALL to discuss their ideas about gun violence prevention and safety in our community. Please come to show your support and have your voice heard.
Is the Alameda Democratic Club going on record in opposition to legislation curbing free speech about boycotting Israel?
RSVP today for a Postcards to Voters Party at Alameda Island Brewing Company, Tuesday Sept 25th, 6:30pm with Indivisible East Bay and Flip the 14. We'll write postcards to voters to get out the vote for California Democrats running for U.S. Congress.
Last night we went to the forum to hear the presentations by our City Council candidates. The moderator, whom I think is an officer, wouldn't present my question concerning recreational marijuana to the panel. That was especially odd, considering that the council chamber was packed to standing room whenever that topic came up. How come? Does the Party have a position on this?
Everybody please contact https://sridharequities.com/contact-us/ to let them know what you think. This is regarding the residents at 470 Central who received eviction notices 4 days before christmas.
I am deeply concerned that the tenants at 470 Central Bayview apartments are being evicted under our current rent ordinance. Families and elders are continually harrased and as a direct result of the "Alamedans In Charge" referendum being certified, despite numerous reports of fraud by the signature-gatherers 3 families face eviction for no reason. The other tenants face 3 day pay or quit notices despite having sent their rent checks and verifying their delivery. This is nothing but harassment and retaliation. Is there nothing that Alameda can do?
Hi -- I am trying to organize a peaceful vigil tonight, Sunday, August 13th at 5:00 at City Hall. I have posted this in Alameda Peeps and on Malia Vella's website and several people are interested. Please join us. So far we are leaderless and I would appreciate any leadership available.

The City of Alameda Democratic Club is a grassroots organization chartered by the Alameda County Democratic Central Committee.

Meetings are every second Wednesday of the month. From 7 PM to 9 PM, at Alameda Hospital, Conference Room A, 2nd Floor, 2070 Clinton Avenue, Alameda, CA 94501.

Because it is not always possible to maintain at least 6 feet of distance, members of the public and workers should wear face coverings while engaged in most activities when others are nearby. Essential workers are required to wear a face-covering when at work and residents are required to wear a face-covering when inside or waiting in line to enter an essential business, when seeking healthcare, and when waiting for or riding public transit. [03/19/20]   From Andy Kelly, Vice Chair. ACCC :"Coronavirus doesn't care who you are, if you workout every day or lounge on the couch, if you eat healthy or eat junk food, run marathons, or never get sick - - - you have absolutely zero immunity to this disease. If you are exposed sufficiently you will contract it, and spread it to others. Period.

General health, weak or strong immune systems have nothing to do with getting sick or making others sick. But it will impact how bad symptoms are,and people will die.. And you will have killed them.

Shelter in place, stay home as much, as possible. Maintain a minimum 6 feet of distance from others in public. Even at the grocery stores, even at the checkout. Call out unsafe practices. Wash your hands. Believe science.

Save a whole bunch of lives.
