Jones Craft Brewing Company is the brainchild of two friends with a shared interest in all-things-beer, particularly craft beer. Brendan Jones is a mechanical engineer. Chris Restifo is a chemical engineer. Brendan’s background in fabrication paired with Chris’ experience in processing and automation allow them to build a vast majority of their brewing equipment by hand.
JCBC’s unique, experimental twist on traditional brewing styles in small batches results in exceptional flavors that have garnered the attention of various local food editors while vending at local beer festivals.
Jones Craft Brewing Company is currently working to expand current capabilities to a 5 BBL (155 gallon) brewing system in a Crescent Township (Pittsburgh International Airport area) storefront. From this location the intention is to hold shop hours Thursday-Saturday for sales and host Growler Hours. JCBC looks to self-distribute locally.

[06/12/12] Cause öf Dëath is now up to 14.7% ABV, and we still haven't dumped in the High Gravity yeast!
[05/26/12] The unnamed Quad finished at 12.5%, and we decided to bottle condition it as well, these will be unreal in 2 months but there are only 100 bottles on the wall. They will be offered only at our grand opening.
[05/22/12] Who likes big beer? Cause of Death & unnamed Belgian Quad are both nearing 12% ABV and still climbing. There is so much TLC & attention that goes into beers like these, you'll have to take our word for it!

[05/09/12] Cause of Death live blogging: ABV is now up to 8.7% and climbing steady. Our un-named Belgian Quad is 9.8% and still moving up. We're trying to time the releases of these bad boys to coincide our grand opening, hopefully in 8-12 weeks.

[02/17/12] Biba is braising their Pork Belly cut with our Winter Solstice, we had some tonight & it was fabulous! You had better get there soon, we dropped off the last of the Winter Solstice this evening & it's not back until December!
We're late to this party, but the beer regulations in PA got a little better at the end of 2011. You can now buy any volume desired in any container from a brewery in PA. It was previously limited to ~144 fluid ounces per purchase. Act 113 of 2011 if you care to read the legalese.
