Great News! Carlisle Chamber Orchestra has just been selected as a semi-finalist in the Community Orchestra division of The American Prize National Nonprofit Competitions in the Performing Arts.
The American Prize is a national comprehensive series of contests in the classical arts. It is designed to evaluate, recognize and reward the best performers, ensembles and composers in the United States, attracting hundreds of qualified contestants from all fifty states. Semi-finalists were just announced. Finalists and runners up will be announced in the orchestra division soon.

The American Prize, founded in 2009, grew from the belief that a great deal of excellent music being made in this country goes unrecognized and unheralded, not only in our major cities, but all across the country: in schools and churches, in colleges and universities, and by community and professional musicians. The media does not always tell us about these artists, but they are there entertaining audiences, educating young people, and contributing to the quality of life in the communities they serve. The American Prize seeks to fill that gap.

We are honored to be one of the semi-finalists. The finalists should be announced shortly.

Something for everyone in this concert! Vocalists, accordion, Hungarian violin, narrator, not to mention a full chamber orchestra.

We think everyone of any age will enjoy this performance with such a variety of performances......an accordion player, three amazing vocalists, a local well-known narrator, not to mention a high quality orchestra of dedicated musicians. Come and be entertained!

Comments from our audience....
Such a WONDERFUL concert this afternoon!..... [my huband] really didn’t grow up with any classical music so it’s just been in the past few years that he has been willing to go to concerts, and going to the CCO concerts have really been enjoyable for him. The programming is great!!……..today’s concert was a terrific way to kick off the holidays!
Joanne from Billerica

This was the best holiday concert that we've ever seen. From beginning to end, it glittered with truly top-notch singers and instrumentalists at the level of any musical ensemble in the Boston area. No qualifiers need be applied. This was both an impressive, and, more importantly, moving concert experience, that just kept giving and giving like Santa's bag of presents. The programming was brilliant; it was family-friendly and seasonal ....... And there's a very young violinist, a concertmaster, two duelling pianists, a swaning cello, and a beautiful soprano and tenor duet that are well worth everyone keeping an eye on. Thanks to Dick and Kathy, Alan Yost, and all of the CCO and the Carlisle Community Chorus for making our evening. And our season. Glenn & Deborah from Carlisle
