JP Concerts

Classics from all genres to nourish the heart, mind and soul! Please visit jpconcerts.org for details.

JP Concerts is a community music program of St. John's Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain managed by resident performing arts company, Open Theatre Project. The St. John’s sanctuary is a beautiful venue with surround-sound acoustics and an ideal location in the heart of Jamaica Plain. Performances to date have covered a broad range, including multi-media theatrical presentations, wind, keyboard, string recitals, clarinet quartets along with Japanese flute and vocals. These concerts showcase musicians ranging from local talent to world-renowned performers. We are also the home venue for A FAR CRY, Jamaica Plain’s very own self-directed chamber orchestra. Unless otherwise noted, events are just $10 general admission--cheaper than going to a movie! For more information on concerts we've already hosted, and for a taste of what's to come, please refer to our Calendar.

Operating as usual
