JP Concerts

Classics from all genres to nourish the heart, mind and soul! Please visit jpconcerts.org for details. JP Concerts is a community music program of St.

John's Episcopal Church in Jamaica Plain managed by resident performing arts company, Open Theatre Project. The St. John’s sanctuary is a beautiful venue with surround-sound acoustics and an ideal location in the heart of Jamaica Plain. Performances to date have covered a broad range, including multi-media theatrical presentations, wind, keyboard, string recitals, clarinet quartets along with Japanese flute and vocals. These concerts showcase musicians ranging from local talent to world-renowned performers. We are also the home venue for A FAR CRY, Jamaica Plain’s very own self-directed chamber orchestra. Unless otherwise noted, events are just $10 general admission--cheaper than going to a movie! For more information on concerts we've already hosted, and for a taste of what's to come, please refer to our Calendar.

NPR

A little light and music to keep us moving!! Thank you @npr and the amazing musicians sharing their art however they can!!

More and more concerts are being canceled because of the coronavirus pandemic.

So NPR Music is compiling a running list of livestreams by musicians from around the world, categorized by date and genre.

[03/12/20]   Hey All! Unfortunately, amidst the many concerns around COVID-19 and after discussions with our artists and partners we have decided to POSTPONE this Fridays Concert with Holes in the Floor. We will be looking at the calendar to get them back into JP Concerts ASAP, for any of our patrons who purchased tickets we will be reaching out to get those refunded or transferred. We appreciate your understanding and are excited for the concerts and programming we are still moving forward with in April & May! Stay tuned for more information and updates. Many thanks!
